This January may have started off extra chilly in Vermont, but these winter wedding flowers designed for Matt and Kelly at The Round Barn, brought a natural touch indoors. They chose a rustic, wintery vibe with a palette of greens and whites including cedar, Italian ruscus, seeded eucalyptus, mums, roses, ranunculus, waxflower, hydrangea, stock and thistle for texture and touches of candlelight for a warm glow.
Kelly wanted “more greens than whites” for her bouquet and we decided to add a little more white for her maid of honor to carry. I love how the natural drape of the greens acts as a nod to the season.
The Round Barn looked absolutely beautiful with dinner and cocktails upstairs in the hay loft and the ceremony set in the milking parlor downstairs. One long family-style table created an impressive, yet intimate dining experience for guests–it’s so cozy, you might not even notice the temps outside!
What do you think of this mantelpiece as a backdrop for the ceremony? It’s my new favorite thing this year!
A note to couples: My 2022 calendar is fully booked, but I’m talking with couples who are ready to reserve their 2023 wedding dates. If you’re planning a Vermont wedding and you love beautiful flowers, get in touch to start planning today!
