Today I have a lovely summer wedding at The Round Barn in Waitsfield, Vermont, to share with you . These flowers are designed in a palette of whites, pinks and greens, which feels elegant and romantic, though Jodi and Elliot’s overall style was also fun and relaxed.
When I saw a picture of Jodi’s dress, it was clear that her bouquet should be petite and sophisticated. I created a classic, yet modern bouquet for her to carry, designed in all whites and greens, including roses, ranunculus, freesia, spray roses and white dubium for a bit of whimsy and movement.
For the ceremony by the pond, I transformed the birch arbor at The Round Barn into a chuppah with the addition of the groom’s talit. Then, I added pink roses, stock, ranunculus and blushing bride protea with green trachellium, hydrangea and lots of fresh greenery for a romantic, gardeny look. (As you’ll see below, I even snapped a selfie when I was done setting it up!)
Cocktail hour took place on the lawn, which featured a canoe by the bar, followed by dinner in the barn and a fabulous dessert display by Sweet Simone’s with touches of chamomile on the wedding cake for a sweet, summery look.
It was a beautiful start to August in Vermont and it was a pleasure to create these arrangements for Jodi and Elliot.
Designer’s note: This entire wedding was created without the use of floral foam.
