Carolyn and Jason had their destination Vermont wedding at The Round Barn in Waitsfield during some gorgeous peak foliage this October. When I met with Carolyn and her aunt I loved her laid back approach to planning the wedding. Perhaps that’s due in part to the fact that she and her groom were so focused on training for Ironman! Needless to say I was very impressed.
Carolyn wanted persimmon, brown, yellow, orange and red to comprise the color palette so true reds, oranges and peaches are featured in most of the flower combos. They had gorgeous gold overlays on the tables from Occasions. While it was clearly a fall wedding, their overall style felt more elegant & romantic than autumnal.
The bride wore a beautiful white dress and carried white dahlias, green & white roses, freesia and touches of bupleurum, dusty miller & apricot colored cymbidium orchids. The bouquet was finished with a blue silk dupioni ribbon for a little punch of color.
Her bridesmaids wore brown dresses with persimmon colored pashminas and carried bouquets of yellow, orange & peach roses with yellow freesia, orange dahlias and apricot orchids.
The adorable little flower girl carried this birch basket.

We lined the aisle for the outdoor ceremony with shepherd’s hooks and hanging mason jars.

I love, love, love their place card display of tiny white pumpkins with cows on wooden picks.
Perrin from Vermont Cake Studio made a chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and chocolate icing. The smell was amazing.
Congratulations to Carolyn & Jason! You had one of the most beautiful fall days for your Vermont wedding and the red, orange & peach tones are now one of my favorite color palettes ever! It was such an elegant and unique way to do fall.
