I can remember my first meeting with Casey & Brett back when there was still snow on the ground. I loved her vision of a black, white & chartreuse green color palette for a modern look with vintage inspired style.
She had a few specifics in mind: a damask pattern of some sort, she loved silver greenery like lamb’s ear, and she wanted the flowers to be white and ‘black’, but other than that they just let me run with it.
The bride wanted a white bouquet that wasn’t too fussy including mostly dahlias with some mini callas, green hydrangea, a couple of roses and a few pops of burgundy scabiosa to add some ‘black’ accents. For a touch of silver I added a collar of dusty miller and finished the bouquet with a chartreuse ribbon and a cameo from Brett’s grandmother. LOVE that detail.
The bridesmaids wore beautiful grey dresses so we added a little touch of lavender to their bouquets to lighten them up a bit and added some burgundy callas for a darker accent. Each bouquet had a different broach that Casey had collected.
There were 3 different centerpiece styles for the reception. I covered glass vases with damask paper to feature the black and white palette. Designs include white roses, green hydrangea, burgundy callas, sarracenia, green dianthus, brunia, chocolate fiddleheads, scabiosa, seeded eucalyptus, bupleurum and dusty miller. Notice the super cute table numbers that Casey made…little buttons were attached to the tags and they said “all you need is love” on the side.
I found these chartreuse ceramic containers and knew they were perfect for Casey & Brett. They were almost the exact same color as the menu cards (which Casey & Brett made!).
The Ponds was set and ready for an indoor ceremony and a lot of dancing afterwards!
Another DIY detail included these napkin rings. I love the button theme!

Casey & Brett were married on October 1st at The Ponds and it was a close as we’ve come to having a monsoon wedding in Vermont! They made the most of the space and we created a warm, cozy indoor wedding space. The amazingly talented Daria Bishop was there to capture all the details of the day and I cannot wait to see the professional photos!
