There are few flowers more anticipated in my Vermont garden than the first peony blooms! That’s why I can’t say enough about the peonies for this wedding, which are not from my garden, however. In fact, what makes them so special is the fact that most of the peonies in this wedding were grown by the mother of the bride on her farm in Colorado!
As a floral designer, I got a bit of that Christmas morning feeling as I was opening the gigantic box that arrived at my doorstep. I’m not sure I’d ever seen so many peonies in my studio at once!
And I was able to add some of mom’s peonies in just about every single design!
In addition to those incredible June peonies I got to work with, the flowers featured here include coral and white roses, pale pink spray roses, clematis, light blue delphinium, stock, ranunculus and spirea. It was such a fresh, summery feeling at The Barn at Boyden Farm.
Flowers really do play a special role in your wedding day and this peony display was special for me to get to design, too!
Every wedding includes special, unique design details and it’s a fun part of my job to get to help uncover those details along with my clients.
