Chelsea and Jeremy’s September wedding at The Ferry Watch Inn in Grand Isle was so much fun to design and I’m especially happy to share some of their details with you today. I’ve done a few purple inspired weddings this season (like here & here for example and Yes, I’m totally posting this season’s events out of order, but so what?!) and in this palette you’ll find the soft yellow and pale pink accents really make purple and lavender sing.
Their overall style was etherial and rustic with nothing too manicured or traditional. The bride carried a bouquet of dahlias, ranunculus, scabiosa (both flowers and pods), fresh lavender, freesia, lysmachia and lisianthus.
Chelsea’s bridesmaids got to choose their own dresses and each wore a different shade of purple (they looked STUNNING by the way!). They carried bouquets of lavender scabiosa, stock, yellow roses, pink ranunculus, white dahlias, lysmachia, lisianthus and fresh lavender accents with bunny grass.
Here’s a closer look at one of the girl’s bouquets.
When guests arrived to the barn there was no question they were in the right place! The C & J initials were such a great touch.
A little rain did not dampen the spirits of anyone on this day and the barn made a perfect setting for the indoor ceremony and my birch chuppah fit in just right!
Mason jars adorned the chairs down the aisle.
Centerpieces were designed in rustic tin containers filled with pink gerberas, dahlias, billy balls, scabiosa, millet, eucalyptus, trachellium, stock and hydrangea.
A clear top tent brought the outside scenery into the reception space.
The bride made burlap table runners to keep with the rustic look.
The cake was stunning. (I know, I already used that adjective to describe the bridesmaids, but seriously, it’s the most apt description here!) Bakearia made a true confectionery masterpiece.
I love this shot my husband took of the head table. The “formal” head table is SO back this year and I’m loving it.
Congratulations to Chelsea and Jeremy! It was great working with you and I’m so glad you enjoyed your day. You both looked absolutely fantastic and your “non-fall” colors were a fun departure from the traditional seasonal tones!
