I love this wedding. It may seem like I’ve been saying that a lot lately, but it’s true!
Sometimes I grow fond of a couple who happens to be particularly adorable or super nice or has a style I’m really excited about. Sometimes a couple just has good taste and a great color palette and we communicate well and they are respectful of my time and trust me to see their vision and run with it.
In the case of Erica and Greg they fall into every category above so to say I was looking forward to designing for them is an understatement. I was honored to be a part of their day.
As Friday’s forecast called for rain on Saturday I started turning my design wheels to come up with a suitable rain plan for a ceremony under the tent at Topnotch. Luckily the tent is beautiful and the pipe and drape from Vermont Tent Co. was the perfect backdrop for a floral “wall” display. Check out today’s post and don’t miss the clematis pods in the bride’s bouquet. It’s particularly funky in combination with the bride’s favorites; seeded eucalyptus and olive branches!
If it had to rain, well, this was a pretty sweet set-up for a Plan B.
This is definitely one of those occasions where I wish I had a better camera (and knew how to use it!). I couldn’t truly capture the understated elegance of the draping floral display against the curtain.
Flowers in this wedding include: dahlias, hydrangea, ranunculus, roses, spray roses, seeded eucalyptus, scabiosa, lisianthus, olive branches, ruscus, snapdragons and clematis pods.
