By now it may be obvious that I L-O-V-E a white, pink, peach and burgundy palette. I mean love it.
The addition of deep plum/burgundy takes a classic wedding palette and just adds a touch of contrast and depth.
Susanna and Andreas were married this August in Burlington, VT and then headed up to The Ponds at Bolton Valley for a reception with a gardeny-woodland style featuring moss-covered centerpieces and fresh vines of greenery over the dance floor.
Their flowers included locally grown cafe au lait dahlias, roses, ranunculus, anemones, hydrangea, ivy, scabiosa, snapdragons, eucalyptus, leucodendron and smilax.
Did I mention I love this palette?
I used to work for the ski & snowboard school at Bolton Valley for a few winter seasons when I first started my business, and I can remember first stepping foot in The Ponds when it was newly built.
I’ve been designing weddings there for many years (and I’ve also attended a few events…) and the setting is simply perfect every time. It’s quintessential Vermont no matter what season you wed, but late summer and early fall are my favorite weeks of the season.
Congratulations to Susanna and Andreas! You picked a stellar day for your nuptials. It was a pleasure to work with you!
