Romantic Garden Wedding At The Round Barn

Laura and Andrew selected  The Round Barn in Waitsfield for their destination wedding in Vermont.  For their fall wedding the color palette was anything but traditional autumnal tones.  Members of the wedding party wore pinks and grays and the flowers featured pale to raspberry pinks with whites and yellows.  Laura’s vision for a romantic, natural style is right up my alley and we were a good fit from the beginning.  They may have planned their destination wedding from NYC, but Vermont charm was all around.

The bride carried a garden-inspired bouquet of white and yellow garden roses, two-toned pink roses, yellow and white spray roses, pink ranunculus and white lisianthus for a lush, romantic feeling.

Eight bridesmaids carried rose bouquets of raspberry and pale pink with yellow and white accents.

The super cute flower girls wore headwreaths of olive branches, yellow spray roses, waxflower and limonium.

The men wore pink and yellow boutonnieres that matched their ties quite brilliantly.

The ceremony took place outside under our birch arbor which was adorned with garden roses, snapdragons and flanked with sap bucket arrangements on each side.

Shepherd’s hooks with hanging mason jars lined the path down the aisle.

You’ve just got to love a rustic wooden sign to point guests in the right direction!

The reception was pretty in pink from shades of blush to raspberry.  Pin-tuck runners from The Linen Shop At Occasions brought a  lovely punch of color to the barn.

Mossy centerpieces were filled with snapdragons, dahlias, godetia, roses, olive branches and ferns.  Wood burned birch table numbers added another natural element to the tabletop.

I absolutely adore the menu cards printed on paper thin pieces of wood.  The floral and fern motif was also seen on the gorgeous invitations by Christa Alexander (which you can see here!) and the wedding programs.

The place card display brought another rustic, Vermonty feeling to the day.

This soft, romantic palette is beautiful any time of year.

Congratulations to Laura and Andrew on your nuptials!  I can remember my phone consultation with Laura last June and it’s hard to believe the wedding day has finally come and gone.  Truly, it was a pleasure to work with you…your energy and enthusiasm is contagious!  I wish you both all the best for a very happy life together.

Alison – GORGEOUS!! The flowers are stunning, I’ve been wondering what all the other details of the day would look like, it’s SO amazing to see them all come together! You captured Laura’s vision beautifully.

Thank you, Christa! Your gorgeous invitations helped set the tone for the style of the wedding. The centerpieces were more inspired by the invitations than any I’ve ever made before…especially the accents of fresh ferns!
