Callas And Hydrangea Wedding

Teresa and Sean were married on 11-11-11 at The Ponds with about 40 close friends and family.  Their color palette of purples and whites brought a little color to the cool, almost snowy day.  The bride loves white callas and her bouquet included over 20 stems of mini callas for an elegant, romantic look.

I wrapped the stems with a lavender ribbon and blingy pins.

The maid of honor carried a few darker purple accents including purple stock, lavender & white roses, freesia and white hydrangea.

The bridesmaids carried bouquets of white and lavender to set them apart from the MOH.

Centerpieces in faux silver bowls were made up of white and purple hydrangea, lavender stock, roses and willow eucalyptus.

Here’s a closer look at the hydrangea and roses in the centerpiece.

Congratulations to Teresa and Sean!  It was clear that you were surrounded by loving, helpful friends and family on your big day and I hope it was fantastic!

Once again, you’ve taken a couple of flowers that I generally don’t care for (roses and hydrangeas) and manage to make me love them. I think it’s some sort of superpower you’ve got!

Thank you, Jacquelyn! I feel bad for flowers that get a bad rep for being “boring” when they’re actually lovely so I’m fighting the good fight with my designs!
